Performing Arts at Prior’s Field
Whether on stage, in the rehearsal room or behind the scenes, Performing Arts at Prior’s Field is vibrant, ambitious and inclusive, offering every girl the opportunity to discover her passion and realise her potential.
Keen performing artists have a wide range of dynamic and challenging opportunities to stretch themselves, learn new skills and expand their audience at Prior’s Field. With a large, purpose-built theatre encompassing excellent lighting, sound and AV facilities, our two major annual productions are of outstanding quality and regularly feature casts of up to 70 pupils.

These combine Music and Drama, often with a live orchestra made up of our student musicians, as well as solo and emsemble performance work.
Music scholars have the chance to participate in Scholars’ concerts and to perform at many public events throughout the year. Drama scholars take leadership roles and responsibilities in productions.

The Academic Year 2026-2027 will see a brand-new Performing Arts Pathways Programme in which scholars and exceptionally able pupils can take termly masterclasses in a range of areas as well as hearing from Industry experts in a variety of Performing Arts arenas.
“Teaching in art, music, and drama is of high quality and enables pupils to develop strong technical skills alongside creativity and self-expression. Pupils demonstrate confidence, imagination, and pride in their work, which is showcased regularly through performances, exhibitions, and productions.”
