Academic Excellence at Prior’s Field

At Prior’s Field, academic success is built on curiosity, confidence and a genuine love of learning. As a non-selective independent girls’ school in Surrey, we are proud to achieve exceptional academic outcomes by recognising each girl’s individual strengths, ambitions and potential.

Through inspiring teaching, personalised support and appropriate challenge, our girls learn to think independently, explore ideas and ask thoughtful questions. From the classroom to our wider academic enrichment programme, we encourage every girl to aim high, grow in confidence and develop the knowledge and skills she needs to thrive at school and beyond.

The Academic Journal

In light of this, we have introduced for the first time this year, the first edition of the Prior’s Field Academic Journal.

The journal celebrates exceptional academic work produced by our girls across the past academic year. Thank you to everyone who submitted a piece.

View the Academic Journal here:

If you can spare a moment, we invite you to explore the journal and discover an inspiring collection of poetry, speeches, long and short articles.

Topics range from whether dogs really understand humans and how environmental factors affect food security, to why the fashion brand Missguided collapsed and the mathematical likelihood of Rapunzel having quite so much hair!

As we begin a new academic year, we hope the journal will inspire even more girls to share work of which they are particularly proud.

Current students are encouraged to keep the Academic Journal in mind throughout the year and submit any exceptional pieces of work to Mr Garvey at any time.

“ This journal shows not only the quality of work and the intellectual curiosity amongst our girls, but also the range of interests, skills and opportunities here at Prior’s Field. I am delighted to see the publishing of this first ever edition and my thanks to everyone involved. I am excited to see its development in the coming years and I hope you all enjoy reading such an inspiring and exciting publication; congratulations to all those with work included..”
