Students benefit from a balance of support, challenge and creative freedom, enabling them to flourish both technically and artistically. Students can specialise at A Level, allowing them to skip a foundation course and progress onto a more tailored degree pathway.

Textiles: A Specialist Experience

Textiles at Prior’s Field is a vibrant and innovative course, ideal for students interested in fashion and the connected industries.

  • Specialist equipment and facilities including knitting machines, industrial sewing machines, sublimation printing, laser cutting, screen printing and access to photography studios
  • Multiple large studio spaces with extended access beyond lesson time
  • Opportunities to explore traditional and experimental techniques
  • Individual project work that builds a personal creative identity

At A Level, teaching follows a university-style approach, with each student having their own workspace and the freedom to develop ideas over time.

Beyond the Classroom

A rich programme of enrichment enhances learning and inspires creativity:

International Trips

Students visit leading cultural destinations such as: Paris Florence and Venice, exploring fashion houses, galleries and design schools.

Industry Workshops

Delivered by professionals in areas such as:

Scholarship Assessment Day

Applicants will be invited to attend a Textiles Scholarship Workshop and Interview Day:

Saturday 25th April 2026

10:00am – 2:00pm

This will include a creative workshop, portfolio discussion and informal interview with our Creative Arts team.
