Soar and Explore – Taster Days for Year 5
Soar and Explore Taster Days are simply days for your daughter to come and try out the school.
There is absolutely no obligation to join the school, you don’t even need to fill out an application form! It is purely a day for your daughter to get the feel of Prior’s Field.

At Soar and Explore, the girls will have fun trying out new subjects, chatting to current girls, meet some of our exceptional teachers, explore our grounds and get to know other potential new girls.
Details
- Ages: 9-10. Girls must be in Year 5
- Explore Hours: 9.40am – 4:oopm
- Free Early drop-off: available from 8.30am
- Late pickup Option: Available until 6:00pm
- Cost: Free all day.
What’s in Store:
Girls attending early drop-off will have the opportunity to make a continental-style breakfast and chat with our Lower Sixth students, in our Sixth Form House.
Morning Start:
The day with start with a welcome, and an exciting treat to watch the Prior’s Field girls perform highlights from their end of year production, ‘High School Musical,’ followed by a fun drama workshop.
Morning carousel sessions:
- First session: Chemistry or Physics
- Second session: History
Lunch in the dining hall at 1:00pm
Lunchtime club: Robotics club, or sports activities on the field.
Afternoon
Afternoon carousel sessions:
- Third session: Music
if you are staying beyond 3pm, girls will be involved in inspiring lesson of:
- Fourth Session: Religious Studies
Approximate timings:
Early drop off from 8:30am – Girls will make breakfast and have fun with our Sixth Form girls.
9.40am – Welcome and snack in the Hall for the performance and drama workshop.
11:10am – First session
12:10am – History
1:05pm – lunch
2pm – Second session
3:00pm – First pick up option
4.05pm – Second pick up option
Feel free to pick up anytime between 4:05pm and 6:00pm.
Late pick-up until 6:00pm – girls will go back to the Sixth Form house for snacks and some well-earned relaxation time.
