Co-Curricular Activities

Prior’s Field offers a wide range of co-curricular activities, including Sport, Music, Drama, and the Creative Arts. With 40+ clubs each week, students build confidence, develop skills, and have fun.

We have something for everyone, and we regularly adapt our offerings to suit the students and their interests. Girls have recently asked for a relaxing club, so we now offer Creating Calm.

Club timings

Clubs run before school, at break time, lunch time and after school, with roughly forty clubs running each week. Recent additions have ranged from Circus Club to Drone Club, Clay Club to Student Media Club.

Example list of clubs:

  • Creative Writing
  • Crochet
  • Funky Food
  • Book Club
  • Bio Buzz
  • Calligraphy Club
  • Archive Club
  • Sketch and Scrap
  • Lego and Games Club
  • Robotics
  • Pi Club
  • Photography

We are a busy school and all our girls benefit hugely from the co-curricular programme; it helps them build their confidence, develop many skills and, perhaps most importantly, have fun.

Co-curricular is therefore a hugely important part of school life here at Prior’s Field and one from which all students benefit in some way. We have teams competing across twelve different sports in each school year.

Sports clubs include:

  • Strength and Conditioning
  • Swimming
  • Nets Cricket
  • Netball Shooting
  • Basketball
  • Football
  • Badminton
  • Hockey Training

School Production

A significant proportion of our students will take part in either the Lower School or the Upper School Production each year.

Musical Instruments

Nearly half of our students learn to play a musical instrument and there are several musical clubs running each week including:

  • Chamber group
  • A Cappella
  • Jazz/Big Band
  • Composition/Recording

Co-Curricular School Trips

Throughout the year we visit several galleries, exhibitions, matches, regular creative arts visits to Italy, and each year we have an annual Ski Trip, and a sports tour to Barbados.

Students will all leave Prior’s Field with excellent grades and having fulfilled their academic potential, but their co-curricular experiences are often the source of the fondest memories from their time here.
